How to convert airtime to cash in Nigeria
There are times when you mistakenly load more airtime than you need, like if maybe you wanted to recharge 5,000 naira but you recharged 50,000 naira instead.
This can be quite painful especially if you had intended to use the money for something else.
Usually people resort to selling the airtime to friends and family members to get their money back, but there is an easier way to convert your airtime to cash that was not possible back in the days.
In this blog-post, am going to show you how to convert airtime to cash in Nigeria and also all the platforms you can use to do this.
Let’s get into it and try to read till the end.

How to convert airtime to cash with zoranga
Zoranga is a platform with which you can convert airtime to cash in Nigeria (MTN, airtel, 9mobile, glo). The following process shows you how to do this easily:
- You will need to create an account on zoranga.com
- After creating an account, you will have to login to continue the process.
- Select DEPOSIT MONEY
- Select one of “MTN share n sell, Zoranga PIN, Deposit via PIN”
If you physically have the recharge card, select “Deposit via PIN”, but if you have already loaded the recharge card, select “MTN share n sell”. If you select MTN share n sell, you will need to provide your mobile number to convert your airtime to cash.
- You will also need to specify the exact amount of airtime that you want to send. After that you will need to take NOTE of the MTN line where you will be given the instruction to transfer the airtime.
- After you have successfully entered the recharge PIN or completed the airtime transfer, you have to wait for at least 5 minutes, then refresh the page and check if the funds have been added to your zoranga account.
- Once it reflects, just select the TRANSFER MONEY option and enter the details of the bank account where you want to send the money.
You usually should receive the money in your bank account in not more than 48 hours.
NOTE: You won’t get your complete money, as zoranga has charges that it places on all transactions. Still, this is significantly better than having a lot of airtime that you don’t need.
