There are times when you complete a transaction from your FCMB account, and you are debited, but you did not receive the value of your transaction.

For example, if you buy airtime of 1000 naira from your FCMB account, and you are debited, but you didn’t receive the airtime or if you send money to someone, and you were debited, but the person did not receive the money etc.

The above are examples of a failed transaction, and if you have waited for over 72 hours without getting your money reversed, then you will need to log the transaction with FCMB in other to get your money reversed back to your bank account.

How to log a declined/failed transaction on FCMB?

FCMB internet banking

Follow the below instructions to log failed transaction with FCMB internet banking:

  1. Login to FCMB internet banking https://ibank.fcmb.com/
  2. From Home menu, select “Dispute resolution”
  3. Choose Account
  4. Select the transaction & raise your dispute claims

FCMB New mobile app

Follow the below instructions to log failed transaction with FCMB mobile app:

  1. Login to the app
  2. Click on the Account you want to view
  3. Click the transaction you have challenges with
  4. Select initiate dispute and follow the prompts

As a last resort, you can visit the nearest FCMB branch to lay a complaint about your failed transaction. You will be given a form to fill and your money should be reversed in 24 hours.
