The secret question is a set of questions with answers that is only know to the owner of the account. It is usually set when you are registering for online banking/internet banking.
It is used as an extra security layer for your account and protect it from unauthorized transactions and access.
How to change GTbank secret question?
In this post, I am going to be writing about all you will need to know about how to change GTbank secret question.
There are different ways to do this, so you can pick any one of them and try.
GTbank mobile app
You can easily change your GTbank secret question using the GTbank mobile app. All you have to do is login with your biometric login or with your user ID and password.
Follow the below instructions on how to change GTbank secret question on mobile app:
- Login to the app with user ID and password
- Tap on the MENU icon on the top left corner
- Select SETTINGS & HELP
- Press “Select/Change secret question & answer” or “Reset secret answer”
- Enter your new question and answer
- Click on SAVE ANSWER
- Your new secret question and answer will be successfully set
GTbank internet banking
If you have registered for GTbank internet banking, you can also change your secret question & answer by follow the below instructions:
- Visit the GTbank internet banking portal
- Enter your user ID/Email address/phone number and password
- Click on login
- After logging in, click on SELF SERVICE
- Click on RESET SECRET QUESTION & ANSWER
- A form will pop up on your screen for you to fill
- Fill the form with all the required details including your new secret question & answer
- Confirm your new answer
- Enter your token (OTP)
- Click on SUBMIT to complete
Your request will be processed, and in 24 hours you should be able to use the new secret question & answer.
GTconnect
Another way to change your GTbank secret question & answer is by contacting GTconnect and requesting for it to be changed.
They will require you to provide a few information, in order to make sure that the account is yours. Once you are able to provide them this information, they will ask you for a new secret question & answer, and will help you set it up.

As a last resort, you can visit the nearest GTbank branch and request for your GTbank secret question. You may be given a form to fill, which you should fill correctly with all the required information and submit back to the GTbank official.
Your request will be processed and you should be able to use your new Secret question & answer in not more than 24 hours.
