Why is my GTbank account balance showing minus (negative)?

If your GTbank account balance is showing minus, it means that the money in your account was not able to cover charges and other outstanding debt.

Usually, GTbank does not allow transactions to go through, if you do not have enough money to cover it. This means that if your bank account is showing negative, it could be as a result of previous outstanding debts.

In other to offset this, you will need to deposit in your account to clear the debt i.e. if for example your account is showing -2000 naira, then you will need to deposit 2000 naira to offset it.

What is Book balance?

Book balance is the total amount of money that is available on your bank account.

What is Available balance?

This is the amount of money in your bank account that you can access.
