It is no news by now that all the major banks in Nigeria have reduced to dollar spending limit, some of them have even totally stopped their naira MasterCard from being able to perform international transaction.

By this time last year, major banks had set a monthly spending limit of $100, which was not well received by Nigerians.

Obviously if you are someone who performs a lot of international transactions, I imagine that this current situation is very frustrating to you.

Zenith bank, which is one of the leading commercial banks in Nigeria has set its international spending limit to $20 monthly i.e. you cannot spend more than $20 monthly on your MasterCard.

Hopefully in the future, we may see a rise in the limits, but as of now, you are left with no other option but to find an alternative.
