What is the cause of inactive UBA account?
The most likely cause of an inactive UBA account is as a result of it being dormant for a long period of time, usually 6 months and above i.e. if you have not performed any kind of transaction from your UBA bank account in a period of over 6 months.
When your bank account is inactive, you will not be able to carry out transactions like money transfer, paying bills, buying airtime and more. You will not be able to use the internet banking, USSD, mobile app and other banking services.
How to reactivate my UBA account?
In order to reactivate your UBA bank account, you will need to fill the account reactivation form, which you can download here https://www.ubagroup.com/nigeria/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2018/10/account-reactivation-form.pdf/
The form will require information like your BVN, account number, account name, email address and many more.
You will also need to provide the required documentation which includes a Valid ID card, which can be an international passport, national driver’s license or voter’s card.
You will also need a copy of utility bill within the last three months, which clearly shows your current address.
Once you have the above, you can head to the nearest UBA bank branch and submit, and your account will be reactivated.
For those who do not want to visit the bank branch, you can try contacting the UBA customer service and inquire if you can submit the form and required documentation to them.
