Is Sterling bank having network issues today?

Transfer issues

If you sent money to someone and the person is yet to receive it, even though you have been debited and vice versa, then there are a few things you need to check.

Make sure you have been debited and that the transaction went through successfully by checking your transaction history from your mobile app.

The beneficiary should also check his/her account balance and transaction history to see if the money has reflected, even if they have not received a corresponding SMS alert.

You should give it a period of 48 hours, to see if the money will be reversed or if it will reflect on the beneficiary account, otherwise you may need to contact the sterling bank customer care or visit the nearest sterling bank branch.

USSD

If you are having troubles using your USSD, then there are also a few things you can check to make sure the problem is not from your end.

1. Make sure you are dialing the correct sterling bank USSD *822#
2. You should also dial the code from the phone number that is linked with your sterling bank account
3. Ensure you follow the prompts quickly in order to prevent getting error messages.

Mobile app

You may have issues like being unable to login, unable to complete transactions, app keeps crashing and more. To resolve this issue, you can try the following:

1. Make sure you have a valid subscription plan, and that it is not exhausted or expired
2. Ensure your Wi-Fi/data connection is properly turned on
3. Check to see that the problem is not from your network provider
4. Uninstall the app and reinstall it again to see if it will resolve the issue
5. Update the app to the latest version

Internet banking

If you can’t login to your internet banking account, you will have to make sure that your login details are correct. You may need to get in touch with the bank customer care to resolve this issue.
