What is a student account?

A student account is a type of savings account which is applicable for Nigerian students within the age of 16 to 28. The student account was introduced in other to enable Nigeria students save money.

The students account is very easy to open and does not require any amount of money to do so, and you can open an account by using your student ID card, admission letter or National Identity card.

This Nigerian student account is a tier 1 account and has such has limits placed on it i.e. the deposit limit and the operating balance limit.

About UBA?

What is UBA student account?

The UBA student account is for undergraduates between the age of 16 to 25 years of age. It will enable them to save money, transfer money and earn interests.

The UBA student account is very easy to open, and in most cases requires just a passport photograph and a fully filled account opening form.

What is UBA student account limit?

The UBA student account has a cumulative account limit of 300,000 naira, and in some cases, you may be allowed to receive up to 500,000 naira. You are also limit to a single deposit amount of just 50,000 naira daily.

In other to remove these limits, you will have to visit the bank and submit your National identity card, voter’s card, driver’s license or international passport

UBA student account requirements

The following are the requirements need to open a UBA student account:

  1. Account opening form duly completed
  2. One recent clear passport photography of signatory
  3. A valid school/identity card, admission letter or national identification number (NIN)

How to upgrade UBA student account?

Walk into any UBA branch and head to the customer service section and tell them that you want to upgrade your UBA account.

You will be given a form to fill with information like your name, account number, bank verification number, home address, telephone number etc.

Make sure you fill the form correctly and submit, along with the required documents as requested by the staff.

The whole process should not take more than 24 hours or less to complete. Once it is complete, you can now receive any amount of money into your bank account.
