With GTbank USSD code 737, you can now own a bank account using your mobile phone from your home, it doesn’t even need to be a smartphone, you can use any mobile phone to open a GTbank account. Cool right?

With 737, you don’t need to wait on long queues or fill any of those long account opening forms, you can open a GTbank account in just 5 minutes.

To open a GTbank account using 737, Dial *737*0#, follow the on-screen prompts to open a GTbank account.

Once you sign up, your 10-digit account number will automatically be created and sent to your phone via SMS.

Opening an account on your mobile phone, you can only deposit a maximum of 50, 000 naira per transaction and you are also entitled to a maximum account balance of 300, 000 naira. You can also decide to upgrade your account later.

You can also use your phone number as your account number to carry out simple transactions like withdrawing cash without the use of an ATM (cardless withdrawal).

How to open a GTbank account online on the website?

You can also open a GTbank account online on the GTbank official website, GTbank has a special account opening form, it is called Account opening web engine.

To open a GTbank account on the GTbank website, you will need to follow the below step by step instructions:

NOTE: All the data you provide must be valid.

1. Visit the following address https://ao.gtbank.com/aowe/start
2. Select one of either “personal account” or “business account”. If you click “business account”, you will need personal documents like bills, ID card, driver’s license etc. If you click “personal account”, you will be redirected to a new page”.
3. Select one of either “Open a new account” or “Open an additional account”. Whatever type you choose, GTbank will automatically update the application form.
4. You will need to validate your bank verification number (BVN) by inputting the code, but if you don’t yet have a BVN, type 0 (Zero) and click validate.
5. Add personal details to your application, such as FULL NAME, MOBILE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS etc. and click CONTINUE.

That’s it, your GTbank account will be created.
