GTbank tier 1 account limit

The GTbank tier 1 account is the lowest level of a bank account, you can open this bank account with just your bank verification number and passport. This tier of account does not require any identification document like national identification card, voter’s card, driver’s license or international passport.

A perfect example of the GTbank tier 1 account is the student account, which allows undergraduates between the age of 16 and 25 to open a bank account.

The GTbank tier 1 account limit is 300,000 naira, which is the cumulative balance i.e. the GTbank tier 1 account cannot hold more than 300,000 naira, otherwise, you will need to upgrade your account.

The GTbank tier 1 account also has a single deposit limit of 50,000 naira.

GTbank tier 2 account limit

The GTbank tier 2 account limit can be opened by submitting identification documents like national identification card, voter’s card, driver’s license or international passport. This tier of account does not require you to submit a utility bill.

A perfect example of this type of account is your salary account and NYSC account.

The GTbank tier 2 account limit is 500,000 naira, which is the cumulative balance i.e. the GTbank tier 2 account cannot hold more than 500,000 naira, otherwise, you will need to upgrade your account.

The GTbank tier 1 account also has a single deposit limit of 100,000 naira.

GTbank tier 3 account limit

The GTbank tier 3 account requires you to submit all the required documents like national identification card, voter’s card, driver’s license or international passport and utility bill.

The GTbank tier 3 account limit is unlimited i.e. it can hold any amount of money you can possibly receive.

The GTbank tier 3 account has single deposit limit of up to 5 million naira daily for both USSD and mobile app.

You can upgrade a tier 1 account to a tier 3 account, or you can upgrade a tier 2 account to a tier 3 account.
