Mobile app

Depending on your bank, you can stop SMS alert with the bank mobile app, all you have to do is login to the app using your user ID and password, locate the self-service option on your dashboard, follow the on-screen prompts to deactivate the SMS alert.

In most of these apps, you can also decide to deactivate the Email alert, but this is not advisable, as the bank will not be liable for any problems that comes with you not having received an alert.

Internet banking

If you have already registered for internet banking, then you should easily be able to deactivate SMS alert by using the self-service option and following the on-screen prompts.

You will also be able to stop email alert in order to stop receiving alert via email.

Via bank branch

You can also locate your bank’s nearest branch and walk straight to the customer service department and request for them to stop SMS alert.

They will give you a form to fill in which you can indicate the alert that you want to stop. Make sure you fill the form correctly and submit.

Your request will be processed and you will stop receiving SMS alert.
